Has anyone here tried out the RAW Power (supposed Aperture clone) trial?

It's not a clone nor does it claim to be. It's a raw processor that can work with Finder folders or a Photos Library. It has no database of its own.

As a raw processor it's well rated, but that's something that reflects personal taste. That's why the have a free trial, to see if it's to yours.
