Mouse pointer options contradict color filters

The OS Big Sur , cannot change the mouse pointer trim . Developers, if you are listening-

I praise the color options and filters you have provided in Big Sir , and much like my iPhone pro max I use the color filters for specific apps that require that you drop all the white light.

Iphone color screen options - mission accomplished ! Such a good job there. Red screen , all of display. Thank you.

However in OS-X Big Sur , a fail and contradiction because a color filter meant to protect - or allow eye to work in a specific color wavelength- all is lost as the only mouse pointer option is black with bright white trim. I would expect others using the specific feature might also object to the lack of pointer options.

The third party mouse add-on do not work. I'd tried three of them on the app store.

Back in the day -PC's 25 years ago, even the most primitive OS's had dozens of pointer options , at least the "other" guys did.

The impressive Big Sur with all its accessibility options - this was overlooked. The addition of color filters shows you were thinking , but overlooked this . It is much needed

If anyone on the apple community has a reference to a third party app that controls OS-X Big Sur's entire screen including mouse pointer trim to be set according to color scheme selected, please reply to my post. Overall the Big Sur experience near perfect. . Developers , this need to be written into the next Big Sur update! Thank you.

Apple personnel and engineers are not here. We're all end users like yourself. Tell Apple what missing features you'd like restored or new features added to the system via Feedback - macOS - Apple.

APPLE team has already washed their hands on this one- This post is for the users. The latest bigsur update did not include pointer options. If you know of a third party software that can change the OS pointer please advise.

APPLE- BIG -SUR -NO POINTER OPTIONS. Beware or ignore. I'm not upgrading laptop until the fix is written.

Users have no power to change the OS, only Apple.

The correct way forward is what Old Toad said - use feedback.

Apple does listen. Be articulate and polite, and make your point.

You won't get a reply, but it will be read.

It is useless to decide on your own that Apple doesn't care. If you do not make your requests or suggestions known, then there is nothing for them to respond to.

Thats sound advice and appreciated . I have expressed feedback to apple in several ways -emails ,phone conversations ,customer feedback surveys. I have been patient and polite. They have probably read my previous emails, they go back aways. I have used the feedback link you'd provided as well.

The accessibility shortcut up top on toolbar is really a great feature. Like to see them finish the job -

A lack of comments or suggestions on forums tells me this is not something many will care about or need.

Talking with the folks upstairs art Apple they did understand what I was talking about , thought it reasonable to have that option - more pointers / appearance options. Apple hadn't heard of much anyone else asking for this . That surprised me but it didn't. In the meantime waiting for a fix - no option than to use "other" OS's. The quest- to "do it all in one place".

I'll continue search for a 3rd party software to change OS appearance if that exists.
