I received a call saying I have been charged $1299.99 from apple.com

How can I know for sure if the phone call I received is fake or truly from apple.com?

It is a scam. Apple will never call you unless you called them and asked for a call back.

Phone call received about apple account order I just got a call "supposedly" from apple saying there was an apple order placed on my apple account for $2,999.99 and if i recognized it just ignore and they would ship the order but if not press 1 to talk to a rep. Spam call? I’ve gotten a call for someone twice saying they are from apple.com that “you have been charged $1299.99 on your Apple account if you have made this purchase on apple.com and recognize discharged and simply hang up and your order will be delivered,” I’m assuming it is fake. If it were Apple wouldn’t they reach out another way? Correct?
