I’m unable to get emails on my phone. The bottom has an error message stating that I need to go to mail account settings & enter password. I have done that & still no access. I have even turned my phone off & back on again & nothing.

Use a New App Password:
Do you use an App Password? If so, try a new App Password. Sometimes, changes (i.e. updates) are made to the Mac, and then mail server syncing becomes an issue (which is what a new App Password it intended for).

Try deleting the mail account and adding it back.
