As soon as I open FCPX, the software crashes. I don't have time to do anything and it closes automatically. I've rebooted, deleted preferences, uninstalled and reinstalled nothing seems to work. I am disappointed as Apple products usually work seamlessly. Now I feel I'm on a Windows computer. Any hints on how I can resolve this problem?

It's possible. Doing a test with a new library and using some videos from other origins may help confirm that suspicion.
I seem to remember a while ago someone else having problems also with OBS recorded videos.
You can try converting these videos prior to importing: you could use the Finder (control-click, Services->Encode Selected Video Files), or HandBrake, for example.
If the converted videos show no problem, then it is almost certainly something in the way the videos are encoded by OBS.
I am not very familiar with OBS; there may be some settings you change that produce a recording that is more palatable to FCP.
That would be a better way going forward, if possible.
That's what I found weird because it used to work with OBS no problem. Now it doesn't at all. I did multiple recordings with OBS and every single one of them crash FCP. Maybe it's because of the size of the file? I record at 45 000 bitrate (4K) in MP4 format. It creates massive files but like I said, Quicktime creates the same size files and it doesn't seem to crash FCP. I'll try to do some filming and editing tonight with Quicktime instead of OBS and see if my problem is truly resolved or if it's just a pause like I had the other day.
No I was importing the MP4 in FCP. I changed the settings from mkv to mp4 in OBS. Now I'll try the following: converting the OBS mp4 file to Apple Prores using the finder and see if it still crashes FCP.
I’ve completely reformatted my iMac and now it works. Thanks for the tip. I’ll proceed with that if anything happens.

Keeps crashing over and over.
But you were covering the files before, weren’t you? Were you Using the mkv files in FCP? How are you doing that?
The ProRes will be about eight times larger. You might want to do as Luis did and stick with H.264.
