MagSafe 2 adapters

Question

I have a MacBook Pro 2015. The MagSafe 2 adapter becomes very hot while charging. Would purchasing a new one eliminate that problem?

are you using the correct power adapter for your computer?one that is for the 13-in MacBook Pro would appear to work, but may get hot.

This is my question also... yes, I'm using the correct charger...

MacBook Pro Mid 2015 15" - 85 watt magsafe 2 charger (OEM). Block of charger gets quite hot.

Will a new charger solve the problem? Thanks!

what part gets hot?

the part with the contacts and charge LED on it, or the blocky body of the adapter?
