Logic X Compressor VU Meter Not Working...
This happens every now and again and has been happening for at least a year and still is, despite several updates. I don't wanna have to trash preferences to fix it, why's it not been fixed yet?

This is a known intermittent graphics bug from a few years ago. I don't know what macOS/Logic version you are using and if it has been solved in the meantime.
Possible solutions are to save the COmpressor preset, remove it, and put it back onto the Channel Strip. Or restart Logic (which is more annoying).
Do you have other Plugins on the Channel Strip that might affect the proper behavior of the COmpressor?
Yeah I usually hit Copy, clear the plug-in, put it back on and Paste the setting back in - I just feel like I've been working with it for a while now and it seems kinda fundamental.
Oh well, not the biggest deal

What do you mean by "not working". This is a really broad description.
Is it not showing up, does it distort the signal, is the UI not responding, etc?
The issue is maybe triggered when choosing a Sidechain to drive the Compressor - which makes me to wonder if I'm trying to Sidechain from the wrong track/instrument/bus which has nothing going on in it - ie, it's my fault not a bug - BUT, i'm not sure - I will investigate and try and post findings
The VU meter is not working - the needle doesn't bounce. Compressor is working, VU meter is not.
