I need a driver for my Canon MP560 printer

Is there any chance to get a driver for my still excellently working MP560 printer? My girlfriend accidentally updated her MacBook to Catalina, and mine worked on it from the beginning. Now nobody can use this printer anymore which makes us very sad and probably a lot poorer than before because if there's no solution we must buy a new one... Is there still hope?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

Have you looked at the Canon support site for this printer,

https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mp_series/pixma_mp560.html?type=drivers&language=en&os=macos%2010.15%20(catalina)

Make sure the operating system selector is set for macOS Catalina, you will notice that this printer has not been supported by Canon since Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10. If you have been using this printer with a newer version macOS then you have been lucky the printer continued to work.

With the introduction of macOS Catalina Apple stopped support for 32bit apps, this includes 32bit printer drivers which is possibly why the printer no longer works.

It is very important to check that any third party apps and third party hardware you use with your mac will still operate when you install a new OS.

You can check this website to see if they have drivers for your printer that will allow it to operate in macOS Catalina.
