Adding AOL account

I had an aol email account hooked into my mail app but it wasn’t receiving or sending emails. I then deleted the account. I now have tried to add the account back to the mail app but once I put in the password it takes me back to the add account page.

I have created an app password at aol but I don’t know where to put in my regular password and where to put in my app password when adding the aol account to my mail app. Can someone help?
