I only have two devices showing in my authorizations, but when I try to authorize my recent Mac computer Apple tells me I can't have more than five devices.

My account shows only two (2) devices authorized, but Apple will not let me authorize my recent Mac computer purchase, stating, "You cannot have more than 5 devices authorized."

Mac mini 2018 or later

Using the steps in the article at the top of the page, try deauthorizing all the computers. Restart and then try to authorize your computer.
