Front facing camera on Ipad Pro 2021 doesn't performs well. Do you noticed it?

Well, the selfie camera lens on a 2021 iPad Pro does cover a wider angle with the same number of pixels, so any one object would take up fewer pixels assuming the distance to the subject is the same.

You are supposed to be able to control the Center Stage ("follow me") effect in any app that can use it (such as FaceTime and Zoom). I cannot get the Camera app to use it. Can you?

Does it get better if you disable Center Stage mode?

Whilst the front camera has a higher pixel count than many other iPad models, the ultra-wide camera lens reduces the effective resolution. Whilst the ultra wide front camera mimics pan and zoom, the image quality of the digitally cropped picture will suffer.

Disabling the Centre Stage feature simply provides an ultra-wide camera field - which may be equally inappropriate/unwanted in video conferencing applications.

A software update can only change image processing; it cannot change the fundamental design characteristics (resolution, sensitivity and optical limitations) of the camera module.

I totally agree…the front facing camera its grainy and not clear at all. It’s definitely a downgrade from the previous models selfie cameras. I’m hoping they will release an update to fix this ASAP.
