81GB of "Other" storage. How to remove?

So I realised that 81GB of my 250GB MacBook Air M1 is used by Other. And apparently it cannot be cleared manually. Even though I searched pretty much the entire laptop, still something I didn't find is using 81GB of my storage?

Is this a bug? Is there a solution?

  • See used and available storage space on your Mac and from that same linked Support Document >> Other: Contains files that don’t fall into the categories listed here. This category primarily includes files and data used by the system, such as log files, caches, VM files, and other runtime system resources. Also included are temporary files, fonts, app support files, and plug-ins. You can't manage the contents of this category. The contents are managed by macOS, and the category varies in size depending on the current state of your Mac. <<

The only area that can be reduced are elements under the Users Direct Control ie: Documents, Videos, Music, Photos, Podcasts and iPhone Backups and Time Machine Backup Snapshots.

A good starting point would be >>>What is “Other” storage on a Mac, and how can I clean it out? <<< and perhaps a Trusted Application called OmniDiskSweeper which will allow you to identify large files that you control.
