Apple ID for kids and App Store purchase history

My child downloaded apps I don't allow. I deleted the app and set up restrictions preventing future app installs, but the purchase history in the App Store enables them to re-download the same app with asking permission. How do I erase the previous record from App Store purchase history associated with their Apple ID? I was thinking also to erase their Apple ID completely, then create a new one to solve the issue....ideas?
