Camera not working after 14.6 update

I too am having trouble with my camera and flash after installing iOS 14.6. It seems 'we are not alone'. How long before Apple puts up a patch for this rather major stuff up?

iPhone 8, iOS 14

Thanks for the suggestion but restarting the phone or the camera app does not work.

However, follwoing a search on the 'net, the Camera on iPhone is now fixed!

It is a clash between the camera app and an app called NFC Tag Reader (Settings/Control Centre/Included Controls/NFC Tag Reader.) Just deleted the NFC Tag Reader control and bingo, the camera works!

Thanks Dr. Google!

Hi GCBot,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working, then we suggest you follow the steps below to fix the issue:

"1. Remove any case, accessory, or film that might block the camera or that places a magnet near the camera.

2. Test the camera by trying to take a photo.

3. If the photo is blurry, clean the front and back camera lenses with a microfiber cloth. If you see dirt or debris inside the lens or if 4. the camera lens appears to be misaligned or blocked, contact Apple Support for help with your iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch.

4. Restart your iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch

5. Test the camera again by taking a photo. If your device has a front and rear camera, check if one or both isn’t working. To switch cameras, tap the rotate button ."

We hope this helps.

Take care.
