When I Pause the voice recording playback the music app starts automatically

How do I stop the Music app from opening on my iPhone after pausing voice recording?. I am connected to Bluetooth headphones.

I have some courses I have recorded to listen to when walking. When I come home I pause but the music app immediately comes up and I hit play, thinking I am continuing with the recording and suddenly music is playing. Then I have to hunt down the music app, which is not open. I doNot use it much so have it buried in a menu box.

I thought to clear the music app queue, but also find there is no option to clear the queue or unselect the song. Why not?

i get so frustrated. I then have to reopen the voice recording and try to locate my pause point.

why does apple make simple things so hard.

Hello KKiwi,

It seems like your music will play automatically when you're using your Bluetooth headset to listen to your voice recording and pausing it. Do you notice this behavior when your iPhone is not connected to your headset and just playing the voice clips on the speaker?

Furthermore, with your Bluetooth headset, you go to Settings > Bluetooth, and tap on the "i". Are you seeing any music playback options? On your headset, do you have any music playback controls as well?

Regards.

Hi Rose_10, thanks for your reply.

what I have observed is that it seems to be an apple bug or feature.

whenever I connect audio to my iPhone, either blue tooth headphones or headphone jack e.g. to car audio, the default is to start the music app and play the last selected song. And if I play the voice recording app, and pause/turn off phone, when I turn phone back on, it has automatically selected the music app and displays it, rather than the voice recording app I was previously using. if I am not paying attention, then press play, I expect the voice recording to play and am surprised and annoyed the music plays.

And the music will immediately play without me selecting play, when I first connect audio. I hate this feature.

Theres no music queue so no way to stop this behaviour, bar turning volume right down. Or removing the music app off the phone, which I am considering.
