AppleCare purchased through Amazon

I have need to contact AppleCare following loss of my Apple AirPods purchased through Amazon. Despite quite a few attempts I am unable to obtain 'support ' from apple as the 'aftercare' package was also purchase through Amazon. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

AirPods Pro not eligible to buy AppleCare+ online Used the serial number on the box, says the device is not eligible. The site says you can buy AppleCare+ within 60 days of purchase, and this is day one. Am I going to have to return them on Amazon and repurchase with AppleCare+? Apple store is way too far away to buy it in person.

AppleCare does not cover lost or stolen AirPods.
