Iphone won't connect to MacBook over Wi-Fi

I've connected my iPhone to my MacBook and applied the "show this iPhone when on Wi-Fi" option, but as soon as I eject the phone my MacBook fails to find it. It's on the same Wi-Fi and "CDs, DVDs and iOS Devices" is enabled.

They're both on the latest OS.

iPhone not showing in Finder I am trying to access iPhone using Finder on my Mac via WiFi. It always used to work, but now the iphone does not show up in finder. I followed the correct procedures to enable the iphone hotspot and mac wifi. The mac says the iphone is connected, it shows the iphone connected in the wifi drop down list. System settings, network definitely shows the iPhone is connected. But the iphone does not appear in the finder sidebar. The finder settings has iOS Devices enabled. I already followed what it says at If your device doesn’t appear in the sidebar when connected to Mac - Apple Support but it still doesn't work. I recently upgraded from Monterey to Ventura, maybe that's a clue. Suggestions please?

"Show this iPhone when on WiFi" not working. I have tried everything but can't get my iPhone to show up on my Macbook while on the same WiFi network, after following Apple articles. I have found a solution though, which is not available on the internet but Apple support helped me with, which I will be posting in the replies.

Reset Network Settings

Have Wifi password ready.
