Downloads folder display

I updated to Big Sur and my downloads folder on my dock is displaying as icons rather than lists. How can i change the downloads folder on my dock to display a list rather than icons. Just fyi: Under finder i can click on downloads and it's displayed as lists.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.4

Control-click it and choose List. This is separate from the View setting in the Finder.
