There may or may not be.


If you don't have Apple menu > System Preferences > Apple ID > Optimize Mac Storage (at the bottom of the main window on the right in the Preferences dialog), then there will always be a local copy on your Mac. It can be accessed via Finder "Go" menu > iCloud or via Finder sidebar.


If Optimize Mac Storage is turned on, some files may not have a local copy, depending on the space available on your Mac.
