How can I enable weather alerts in Big Sur, Apples own online guide says I can get weather alerts but doesn't say how.

iMac 24″, macOS 11.4

The weather widget will show any alert on it when you launch it. Instead of partly cloudy, it might show a tornado warning. You can then click once on the weather widget to be taken to a local, weather channel weather page where you can obtain more detail on the alert.
