Accidentlu deleted (-) the volume of Macintosh on the disk utility Recovery

I accidently deleted the. Macintosh HD from the Utilities Disk in the Recovery. After I erased it I pressed the (-) button. When I went toreinstall the macOs software, there is no disk to install it into. HELP! I only wanted to erase the mac to give it away to a family member.

Is the Drive Mounted?

Boot into Recovery Mode and then mount the hard drive

In Depth

  1. Boot: into Recovery Mode [Hold Down: command + R upon boot]
  2. Select: Disk Utility
  3. Select: the Hard Drive
  4. Click: "Mount" button

Try this once more.
