USB-C Headphone Jack Adapter Not Working on 2021 iPad Pro 11

I just got the Apple USBC headphone adapter for my iPad Pro. It doesn’t register at all with the iPad. I’ve checked numerous places on the internet for help— and everyone just says to have the adapter replaced. I’ve done that and it still doesn’t work. Have tried restarting and the software is up to date, different headphones, etc. I’m very annoyed. Does anyone know why this is happening to so many people?

Thank you for any help.

Hello kaylih,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities. We understand that your USB-C headphone adapter isn't working with your iPad Pro. You've completed some great steps to try to resolve this. To confirm, are you using the Apple USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter like the one discussed under "Play Audio" here: Charge and connect with the USB-C port on your iPad

Also be sure to check the port for signs of dirt and debris as that can cause connection issues too: How to clean your Apple products

Keep us posted.

Take care.
