Randomly Vibrates

My iPhone 12 randomly vibrates at 12.00 noon and midnight, and 5.00pm everyday. Why is that? And how do I turn it off? My phone is on iOS 14.6.

Hi pruthuvi9,

Welcome to the Apple Community, where some of us do our best to help each other :)

Perhaps your iPhone was mistakenly set by errr to vibrate ?

Apple support have an article online to help you change that.

How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208353

Eg:

  1. You can choose if you want your iPhone to vibrate when set to Ring or Silent mode.
  2. If you turn off both settings, (see diagram in the article) your iPhone won't vibrate.

Cheers :)

Set an alarm on iPhone:

https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/iphone/iph2909d3a74/ios

Eg:

In the clock App you can set regular alarms for any time of day and have them repeat on one or more days of the week.

  • Sound: Choose a vibration, song, or ringtone.
  • To remove a regular alarm in the Clock app, tap Edit at the top left, tap the Delete button , then tap Delete.

Cheers :)

Hello! If you don’t have an alarm set up and it vibrates every day at certain times it could be reminders set up. I’ve set up reminders before and didn’t realize it and had a similar experience. You can manage reminders in the reminders app and manage notifications for reminders in the notifications settings!

Check if you have reminders set up.

and then check the notifications settings for reminders

I hope this helps!

Thanks for replying :)

Apple support have this article, too.

How to set and manage alarms on your iPhone (Scroll for "delete")

Seems another place to look may be:

Settings > Sounds & Haptics

Wondering, if you get any more unexplained vibrations, whether Siri could help track the setting, or disable it ?

"Hey Siri. What alarms do I have set?" What alerts do I have set?" "What notifications .... "

or "Which app makes the vibration at (time) ?

Check Settings > Notifications to see what (vibration?) is enabled.

Cheers :)
