M1 Mac Mini Screen Flickering Issue

Has anyone had any progress from Apple with the M1 Screen Flickering issues?

I hear it occurs with both the Mini and MacBooks.

I have the screen flicker issue with my M1 Mac Mini and my ASUS VP28U 4K display. In my configuration there is only this 1 display.

The issue occurs regardless of how I connect the monitor.

I tried it connected directly to the M1 Mini via HDMI (and yes with short/high quality cable) and I also tried it via OWC TB 3 dock via Mini Display Port to Display Port (and yes with a short/high quality cable).

For me the issue occurs most often after visiting "certain websites" with Safari (not all websites, but the ones that have the issue are repeatable).

The flickering will occur on the entire screen (not just the browser window) and then it will slowly fade away and then it actually stops flickering.  The latter maybe the reason why I think the issue is not taken more seriously. 

For comparison, when I connect my 2018 Intel Mac Mini (also running Big Sur) to all of

the exact same hardware (mentioned above) there is no hint of flickering.  With the Intel Mini everything works without issue.

I'm hoping Apple will take the resolution of this issue seriously.
