MacBook will not turn on

Have a MacBook (over 5 yrs old) that worked this morning but will not turn on now. Held down power button for 10 seconds with no luck.

Perhaps try startup with 'SMC' instructions, to test..

..&/or also try 'NVRAM or PRAM' reset instructions.


Depending on vintage and technologies involved

there are different instructions based on model.

Could also be the portable's battery may have failed.

Nothing mentioned about that here; a usual suspect.


Test with different spare AC-power adapter, clean the

magsafe ports; check 'spring connectors' in plug/port?

[If not MBk12" USB-C. Old MBk13" had magsafe connectors]
