Hi community, as titled, I cannot find the sidebar of the Photos App on MacOS. This is driving me crazy. There is supposed to have a recently deleted album button below the import button. I've attached the screenshot along and hopefully someone can help me fixing this.

The Recently Deleted album is only shown in the sidebar below Imports when there are photos in that album. If the album is empty it is not displayed.
If in doubt about that being the cause, take a new photo (of something you don't care about), add it to Photos, and then delete it. The Recently Deleted album should appear.

Problem solved. It's because I pressed the button DELETE instead of COMMAND+DELETE. Apparently, button DELETE will immediately remove the photo without sending it back to Recently Deleted Album.

Yeah, I imported lots of photos from the external source and deleted a few of them using COMMAND + DELETE shortcut, but the recently deleted album still didn't show up. Anyway, when I resume back the iCloud upload, it popped up somehow but it appeared that all my previously deleted photos are gone. Meaning that I couldn't review back what I deleted so far.
Command Delete is required when you are viewing pictures in a folder, if you want to delete them from the library (via recently deleted). If you just hit delete, then the picture is removed from the folder, but is still in your library, so not deleted, and hence not in recently deleted.
In most of the other views (all photos, smart albums, recents etc) then delete on its own will delete from the library (again via recently deleted.)
If it does not appear in recently deleted, it has not been deleted.
