Erased hard drive, now won’t boot

I wanted to erase my hard drive so that I could give my MacBook Pro to my friend (I upgraded). But I must have erased too much in Disk Utility, because it gave me the folder? picture when it rebooted. I tried holding down command R during boot:

-When trying to install OS from WiFi, it doesn’t show a hard drive to install to.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4

Not a problem—

How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204904

How to erase your Intel-based Mac - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208496

If you have an issue—

Boot into Internet Recovery (Option Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities>  Disk Utility> run the First Aid on your Macintosh HD (and the "Macintosh HD-Data" volume as well if Catalina/Big Sur) If errors are found and repaired, run again until no errors reported.

Disk Utility>View>Show All Devices The best sequence is —

• Volume level

• Container level

• Parent drive

Recovery: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204904

please reference the details here—What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac ...
