New TrackPad II Double Click Gesture Is Showing Desktop, Not Right Clicking.

06/2021 I purchased a M1 MacMini and a TrackPad II. When I try to right-click using the two finger tap/click gesture the result is a view of the desktop - all open windows move off-screen. I have played with the TrackPad settings and scoured the web and I haven't found anything to explain why the right click two finger tap/click gesture is tied to "view desktop". When I hold command and click it does result in a right click, but that is cumbersome... I right click a lot. Please help.
