My Memoji won’t work. The button shows in my messages but when I click l it, nothing happens. It also shows in my emoji keyboard when I scroll to the far left, but when I click those images they also don’t work. I have also restarted my phone. Any help/suggestions?

Have you been able to use or setup the Memoji feature before? We’d recommend following any steps that you have not in Use Memoji on your iPhone or iPad Pro.
Are you getting any errors or just a blank spot where the Memoji should be?

Since the Memoji option is still not responding without any errors when you select it, we'd recommend that you contact Apple Support directly through Contact Apple Support for further troubleshooting.

Thanks for replying. The link you gave just says three times "Tap the Memoji button" which I stated in my post does nothing. I am confused how this article applies. I am not sure how to rephrase my question to be more clear. Touch the memoji button with your finger, nothing happens. It is not an error, or a blank spot, or a spot of any kind, there is nothing. Like tapping your finger on a brick. Nothing happens. Now if I tap the smiley face in the bottom left of the keyboard to see emojis, I see the memojis and tapping those also results in nothing. The regular emojis do work.
Yes, I have used memojis before on my iphone 7. When I bought my iphone 8 and set it up this is when the problem started.
