WindowsServer Process with Second Monitor

Apple, please fix the problem with the WindowServer process and a second monitor attached to my MacBook Pro (16-inch 2019), this is ridiculous that I have to buy a cooling fan to run under the laptop with a second monitor. Prior to installing Big Sur this was not an issue, I now have macOS 11.4 installed and it is still an issue.

Considering the spec of my machine you would think there is enough power to run a second screen with a single spreadsheet on it without overheating the machine.

Specs:

MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

Processor: 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

Memory: 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB & Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

First, be aware that this is a user forum, and you are not talking to Apple. We are users just like you.

My Mac is almost identical to yours, the only difference is that it has 4GB of VRAM instead of 8GB.

I use it connected to a 1080p external monitor every day, all day, as it is my work machine.

It is somewhat warm, and the fan sometimes does come up but it only revs up a lot when doing heavy work, not just because of the display. It is not discernibly hotter, nor do the fans run more often in 11.4 than before.

Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.
