Compass on Apple Watch 6

when I try to open Compass app on my Apple Watch 6, it says I need to install it on my iPhone first. It is on my phone. So I’m stuck in a loop.

Compass on Apple Watch series 2 How can I get the compass app on my Apple Watch series 2? I see it in the App Store but I can not download it.
