iPhone and watch not fully ‘recognising’ change to next day

Hi. Looking at both my Apple Watch and iPhone when I got up this morning I noticed that: no sleep was recorded overnight (using AutoSleep) and that both my stand and move goals were already complete - they both appear to have carried on from yesterday without resetting to a new day at midnight. I have powered both off and on and have reset and repaired the watch. Is this a known issue with a known fix?

thanks all,

Matt

Hi there Mattyoakers!

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you haven't been able to track your sleep using your Apple Watch and iPhone and the the stand and move goals are still reflecting the previous day. We have some tips that may help.

If you haven't already, make sure that you update both iPhone and Apple Watch to latest versions available. This ensures that they benefit from any improvements available. For steps, look here:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update your Apple Watch

If you are running the latest OS on both, restart your iPhone and Apple Watch. You can find steps on how to do this here:

Restart your iPhone

How to restart your Apple Watch

If you are wearing your Apple Watch while you sleep, make sure that the band has the best fit. Look here for steps: Wearing your Apple Watch

If there is no change, turn Sleep Schedule off and back on. If unsure how to access that setting, look here under "Edit your sleep schedule on your iPhone": Track your sleep on Apple Watch and use Sleep on iPhone

Finally, delete and recreate your Sleep Schedule.

If your sleep data is different from the Sleep Schedule you've set, reach out to the support Advisors for additional troubleshooting. Contact them here: Get Support

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
