Apple Watch SE set-up was interrupted after pairing it..

How do I access my new Apple Watch SE, I was pairing and setting it up through my iphone for the first time, then had to leave it for a few minutes. I now only get the starting screen on my phone : Set up Apple Watch’ and offering pairing. When I scan the watch it says this watch is already paired with a phone.... but does not offer anything else. The watch screen has gone black and it only says ‘please finish set up on iPhone’ when I press the on button repeatedly. But mainly it’s just dark/ black screen now.

it seems I paired the watch with my phone but didn’t finish the set up, and now can’t get back to it or start from scratch as watch not ‘activated’ yet, screen black. The Watch doesn’t show in my watch app on the phone. But it paired with my phone.

Please help, I would like to be able to use my watch!

thank you

Do this then start again;

On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Go to Find Iphone.

Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase Apple Watch.

Select Next until the device is erased.

Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.

Thank you so much!

I actually spoke to someone at Apple as I was desperate to get the watch on fast..

Just in case anyone else struggles with the same, here is what they told me to do.

Could be quicker than logging into iCloud.

1 Connected the watch to a charger.

2 Pressed the flat on/off button on the watch for a few seconds. SOS/Turn off options pop up (not what the Apple guy was expecting)..

3 Press and hold the Round (crown?) button down now instead..

4 The watch returned to the state it was when I first turned it on.. asking to be paired.

5 Turn on the Watch app on iPhone, which also now recognised the scanned watch and it could be paired again and the set-up process completed. 👍
