My western digital SSD my passport not working with iPhone 12 Pro. It is given an msg that my passport 264 F: this accessory need too much power

If you are connecting this WD device directly to your iPhone's Lightning port, then the issue is that this device requires more power than what your iPhone can provide it. A "My Passport" would be an external USB drive. These are bus-powered and would draw its power from whatever it is connected to.

... and, if this is the case, you would need to use a powered USB hub between your phone and the drive to make this work.
