Error code -1309

I found a +- 6gb .iso file on my macbook that has something to do with windows (i've used bootcamp on said macbook in the past). Whenever trying to copy the file to my USB it gave me error code -1309.

Is that because something's wrong or just because its literally impossible to do so?

Hi pokemonsef,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you're getting an error when you try to copy a file to an external USB drive and we're happy to help! If you can’t move or copy a file or folder, "you might need to change its permissions settings. You might also need to change permissions settings for the disk, server, or folder where you want to move the item.

  1. Select the item, then choose File > Get Info, or press Command-I.
  2. Click the disclosure triangle next to Sharing & Permissions to expand the section.
  3. Click the pop-up menu next to your user name to see the permissions settings.
  4. If you’re not logged in as an administrator, you may need to click the lock icon and enter an administrator name and password.
  5. Change the permissions to either Read & Write or “Read only.”
  6. If you need to, also change the permissions for the location where you want to put the item.

If you can’t change the permissions, contact an administrator of your Mac or the owner of the file or folder."

We hope this helps.

Take care.
