I have an existing Apple TV account and accidentally logged into my MacBook Air with a non existing account, how do I log out to log into my new one

Apple TV wants sign in from old users We rent out our house and allow users to create new accounts on our Apple TV. They are erased when we return. In the last few weeks, whenever the Apple TV is woken up it demands log in credentials from each of these accounts (They are all over two years old). I have to acknowledge each one. They no longer exist in the "accounts" section of settings. How do I get out of this endless loop?

Apple TV/Apple ID My Apple TV has recently began prompting me to enter the password for an Apple ID that has been removed from the device over a year ago, multiple times a day (the Apple ID it’s prompting to login belongs to my ex husband’s, so you can see why it would be frustrating). In the settings, I am the default user and there are no additional users. I have reset the Apple TV to factory settings and I’m still having the same issue. Can someone please help me?

What is a ‘non-existing account’?

Your Mac will have a user account, as used to log in when starting up. Separate from that, iCould and App Store functionality on your Mac will want your Apple ID account. Separate from that, the Apple TV app (and Music app, Books app) wants you to sign in with your Apple ID account as well. See menu Account to sign in (and sign out if needed). Most users don’t need more than one Apple ID account for all their devices. Non-existing accounts should not be accepted by the software.
