MAC address keeps changing on iPhone 12 Pro Max iOS 14.6?

As I said before, I’m running iOS 14.6 on a 12 pro max. I have set the option to change MAC address or “rotate” MAC address, to off for a particular wifi network. When I connect the next day my MAC address has changed, even though I have it set not too. Does the system have it internally set to rotate no matter what? It’s obvious a large portion of iPhone users don’t know what a MAC address does, but that’s not a reason to take advantage of it.


That being said I’ve tried a couple things here and I can’t decide what it is that’s causing it, so if anybody else has experienced the same thing let me know this is insane
