My Powerbeats Pro don't disconnect when I take them off. And I have Automatic Ear Detection on.

My Powerbeats Pro don't disconnect when I take them off, unless I put them in their case, which isn't always possible because I don't carry the case with me all the time. And I have Automatic Ear Detection on. Yet they still stay connected. This is a pain because features like Siri and dictation don't work because I'm not always close enough to my Powerbeats Pro, or they're in my pocket. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I don't believe I can turn them off, which would solve the problem.

We understand you have questions about what to do with your Beats when you're not actively using them.

When your Powerbeats Pro are out of the charging case, they're ready to use. Automatic Ear Detection allows audio from your device to play automatically when you put them in your ears.

The best solution would be to carry the case with you, and place your Beats inside when they're not being used. This way you can use Siri like you expect to be able to, and your Beats are available when you need them again.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, it doesn't help. It's not practical to carry the case with me while running. And I often stop at places after working out. So, carrying the case isn't an option - it's too big and bulky. And to be tethered to the case defeats the portability of fully wireless ear buds - which is the very reason I purchased them.

If there is a similar product that does turn off, or otherwise doesn't connect to my phone when not in its case, can you recommend one? I'd return these in favor of that. Thanks in advance.
