App on Google TV Does not Allow Log In/New Account/ or Sign In With Mobile

I have a Sony Google TV I am trying to sign into the Apple TV app and it will not let me pick sign in on mobile device, sign in on this tv or create apple ID. I get the same error every time which is attached in the image. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing data, resetting the apple TV app, uninstalling and reinstalling, removing the updates, updating again, and none of these are working. I also tried signing out and in on another device and signing in on a new device and both of those worked okay. I have had no problem signing into other streaming apps on this Sony TV.

Please help.

  • Note that sign in with mobile can only succeed with your own Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, as the whole point is to get the verified Apple ID account from there without typing.
  • Signing in manually would have the exact same result, but then you’d have to type. It has to be an Apple ID account already in use, good for use in the iTunes Store.
  • Creating a new Apple ID account is only for new users that do not have an Apple ID account already. Creating a new account requires full account details that will be verified, as the account is close to a legal contract in many ways (pay your dues). You will need to enter an email address, your name, address, country, date of birth, and a payment method issued in that country. The email will be verified, and you’ll have to confirm by responding to a message, before the account is usable. You may be asked to “activate” the account on the web, or to sign in on another Apple service. How to create a new Apple ID - Apple Support

Hi yes this is the exact problem I already stated to you and does not solve the issue.

I have an Apple ID. I have Apple devices. I have an iPhone. I have had apple products and had an iMac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV for decades. I am not able to use any device via signing in on mobile using any of my current Apple devices with my current Apple ID , I am not able to type in my password using my existing Apple account, and I am also not able to make a new account and all of this is happening on the Apple TV app on a Sony tv. I was able to sign into the app on a different device so this is not an issue with my account but not being able to sign on on this device.

I appreciate the assistance in solving this.
