how to determine my battery life?

One way to determine the battery life is to look at the top corner of your screen where the battery icon is. Next swipe down from there and a menu will show on the screen. On the menu next the the battery icon a percentage will be shown. Hopefully that answers your question.
If you put your finger on the battery icon and swipe down the Control Center will open. It will display the state of charge of the battery, plus a lot of other useful functions. Is that what you want to know, or is it something else?
My old iphone 6Sapps are also on the iphone12 mini. I dont need both phone. both are working at the same time

What do you mean by “battery life”? It apparently isn’t the state of charge of the battery, so what is it that you want to know?
