ejecting a cd

I'm unable to eject a cd from my Mac because the cd is not showing on the desktop, so I'm unable to drag it to the trash. Also, I do not see an ejection button. In the Finder sidebar, the CD is not listed.

My USB SuperDrive does not accept to eject a CD My USB SuperDrive does not accept to eject a cd that it cannot mount (thus invisible on the desktop) I tried several actions without success: 1) eject via disk utility. In that case, I must wait several minutes before SuperDrive is visible. Impossible to eject the CD by clicking in disk utility (neither on the left bar nor in the menu). I can see the title of the cd in disk utility ! That's all. 2) eject by reboot + mouse click. Any possibility to eject it mechanically or find a magical trick ? SuperDrive was working fine a few minutes ago as I was replaying CDs and DVDs to check their contents against the label... The last one had no label... Thanks for Help

Can anyone tell me how to eject a disc from a viewer device CONNECTED to my iMac? There is a CD or DVD in my APPLE viewer device connected to my iMac. I can not find a way to eject the CD/DVD . Has anyone had this problem and found a way to eject the CD/DVD?

On some Macs, holding down the trackpad while the laptop boots up will force the disc to eject.

Restart you Mac:

Once restarted, see if it then shows up, and if you can eject it.
