Ive set new app specific password. when I go to Fix Problem on laptop the "enter passowrd" field is not there

I 'm not good at IT so help please!

I'm using a Toshiba laptop and NOT A MAC.

I want to use the Mail app o(the blue envelope)n my laptop to pick up mail from iCloud and Sky but am told that my settings are out of date. It says the same for my iCloud mail too.

I've gone to my Apple ID page and set up an app specific password but when I go back to the laptop field to "Fix account" the screen goes black with fields and instantly goes white then disappears.

How do I ( in "Janet & John language") solve my problems please.

Thanks in anticipation

Since you now have the app specific password, try quitting the Mail application, and reopen it to see if it will bring up the error message again so you can fix the settings. If necessary, delete the account(s), quit/reopen Mail, and the set the accounts up again using the app specific password.
