iPad no longer sending text messages to Android devices

I had my iPad Pro set up to send/receive text messages via my iPhone. This has been working for over a year and now suddenly it’s not (messages say “not delivered”). I found the instructions in another post to ensure I have my iPhone set up to forward messages to the iPad. I enabled messages via iCloud on my iPad. I toggled all of these settings on and off and it’s not working. Any thoughts?

You must explicitly enable Text Message Forwarding for your iPad on your iPhone.

On your iPhone:

Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding - set to ON - and verify that you have explicitly enabled your iPad from the list of devices.

Also ensure that Messages in iCloud is enabled on both your iPhone and iPad:

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > Messages - set to ON
