Left AirPod “Transparency” mode not turning on.

I’ve noticed for about a week now that my left AirPod has been experiencing stability issues, and has now lost the ability to use transparency mode. Whenever I turn it on it feels like I have plugged up one of my ears.

I’ve already tried resetting them by forgetting the device, etc, but they still don’t work properly.

Hi LuisMunoz15,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We understand that Transparency mode isn't working as expected, so we'd like to see how we can help. Start by turning music and any other sounds off, then turn off Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode with these steps: AirPods Pro and AirPods Max Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode. Next, turn Transparency mode on. Do you notice any change to the external sound, or hear a chime?

Take care.
