Just installed Samsung 4K TV, Bose Soundbar (optical) and Apple TV 4K (using 4K HDMI) in new home. While watching streaming apps on ATV4K the sound cuts out for 3-4 minutes and then comes back. It's more prevalent on Peacock app, but happens with all of them. This is happening on another system (exact same set up) on the patio as well. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
I am experiencing the same issue which everyone else has described. AppleTV 4K attached to 2021 Samsung Q80 with Samsung Sound Bar and sound drops out when viewing.
I contacted Apple Support today and they informed me that this is a known issue and Apple Engineers are working on the problem and it will be rectified in a future software update.
The temporary workaround (as has been suggested earlier) is to Change Audio Format to Digital 5.1 on the AppleTV 4K.
I tried this solution, and my sound drop out issues have been resolved. I guess it is just a matter of waiting for the fix to be implemented.
I just ordered a fire cube. I give up.

I agree. But I’m not throwing out 800 sound bar or switching three Apple TV’s over to something else. It’s crap they haven’t fixed it.

I don't have Dolby Atmos, so why should stereo audio format make a difference to the sound quality?
I have the same issue (Samsung 2021 TV, Apple TV 4k, Sonos Arc) and have been waiting on a fix. At this point I'm about to sell the Apple TV 4k and just hookup to the Samsung directly. I bought the Apple TV 4k for the experience, but it's such a frustrating experience it's not worth it.
