facetime calls charged by Sprint as international!

Hi, I am wondering if any of you have experience in being charged by your cellular provider for facetime calls as international calls? I know facetime calls are always free via wifi! I have been calling Philippines via facetime for years but it was only last month that Sprint has charged me for these facetime calls as international amounting to over $900 charges which is unacceptable. Spoke with Sprint and was told they can only give me $100 credit. Any thoughts? Help? Thanks very much

If you were making these calls via Wi-Fi (that has direct Internet access), then you should NOT be using cellular data when using FaceTime. Are you sure that was the case? One setting on your iPhone is to use cellular data if the phone determines that the Wi-Fi connection is weak or spotty. Is it possible that it switched to cellular during those FaceTime calls?
