I suddenly got a black screen on my mac with flashing folder contains question Mark. Below the folder there's the following link: support.apple.com/mac/startup

That link will take you here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204156?cid=mc-ols-mac-article_ht204156-macos_ui-10062020

That screen tell you that the Mac doesn't recognize the startup drive. Something has happened to the OS installed on it or the drive may be failing.

Try to restart the Mac again.

If this continues you will have to erase and reinstall the OS on the internal drive or on an external startup drive.

The only thing you could do is get an external hard drive larger than your internal, and direct internet recovery to install an OS on the external drive. Or you can use Target Disk Mode to link your Mac to another Mac.

If neither method makes your internal drive visible, ask an Authorized Service Center to attempt to recover the data for you.

You should always backup your data before installing anything, and after saving anything important.
