Shoul I sign out of find my iPad if not using

Simply lock your iPad with a Passcode. Signing-out of Apple services will simply prevent most background services (iCloud, FaceTime, Messages etc.) from operating correctly.

The only times you should sign a device out of Find My are when you plan to sell it or when you no longer care enough about it to want to find it if you lose it.
