How to Delete kensaq.com

Hello,

I have a MacBookPro and utilize Google Chrome for a number of my searches and applications. I recently noticed a browser "kensaq.com" attempting to dominate my searches. How can I safely delete the browser form my Mac? I have tried a number of methods to no avail.

Thank you,

R C Jackman

Hi there,

I suggest the following steps:

  1. Download the free program Malwarebytes from https://malwarebytes.com and run the free scanner. It should find and remove the malware.
  2. Remove malicious extensions from all browsers. Instructions here: https://www.howtogeek.com/240090/how-to-uninstall-extensions-in-chrome-firefox-and-other-browsers/
  3. Remove profiles from your Mac. Go to system preferences > profiles and remove anything you don’t recognize. The profiles settings will only show up if a profile is installed.
  4. Reset your browser’s homepage
  5. Contact Apple Support if the problem persists.
