How to check USB-C ports are working or not in MacBook pro?

I was working and suddenly one port stopped working after a couple of days I was using type c hub for monitor extension and now the display is not connecting too. It is so frustrating!!!!

Since the Ventura update, the USB ports on my monitor haven't been working, or have been very inconsistent. I ran my Mac Studio with various items plugged in to USB ports of my Asus monitors. And things worked fine for months. I upgraded to Ventura and since then, it has been a huge problem. Suddenly, the ports I used for months no longer worked with the same items plugged in. I resorted to plugging things directly into the Mac Studio and unplugging when I didn't need them. One day in desperation, I started switching all the ports around and found that certain peripherals worked in the monitor USB (Scarlett 2i, Rode USB mic), but things like my Logitech webcam won't. So I found a work around. Well, now I have added more items. Recently, a StreamDeck+. I had it plugged directly into the monitor USB. It has worked for two weeks, no problems. Today, I restarted my Mac Studio because I installed something that required it. Well, on restart, my StreamDeck+ no longer works in the port it was previously using. I recently added a thunderbolt hub with an NVME, which is on a separate Thunderbolt port. I had to move the StreamDeck+ to one of those ports to get it to work. Even though prior to restart they worked individually. Is there a setting I'm missing? My Mac doesn't give me any kind of approval in Privacy & Security. I just don't understand what causes the USB/port access to change between a restart. It has me almost terrified to restart because who knows what else will go wrong?

2017 Macbook - Not able to connect to 4k monitor via USB C port I'm trying to connect my 2017 MacBook to a Samsung M8 Monitor however the monitor is not able to detect the MacBook via the USB C port input. Since I'm not sure if the issue is with the monitor or the MacBook, I did the following steps to make sure the monitor was functional. The USB C port on the M8 Monitor is able to detect and charge my dell latitude laptop and Samsung galaxy tab s7+ without any issues. I tried using a different USB C cable but still can't connect to the MacBook. The other peripherals connect fine with the different USB C cable. The MacBook is able to connect to the monitor via HDMI input. I used a USB C hub for the MacBook and connected the HDMI to the USB C hub. Ideally, I would prefer using the USB C cable for a cleaner setup. I noticed a weird behavior when I power down the MacBook completely, connect the monitor's USB C cable and turn on the MacBook, the MacBook will charge but still not display on the monitor. However when I disconnect and reconnect the USB C cable while the MacBook is turned on, the MacBook does not charge or connect to the monitor. I tired to reset the MacBook PRAM and SMC but it didn't help. The MacBook is currently running the latest Ventura OS.

Using Samsung S27A80 external monitor(s) with 2019 MacBook Pro I have two Samsung S27A80*U monitors. I have attached them to my 2019 16" MacBook Pro using USB-C 3.1 cables. When I have two monitors attached, the MacBook frequently freezes, flashes vertical lines on the main monitor, then crashes back to the login screen. If I detach one monitor, then it stops crashing, but frequently freezes. It becomes pretty much unusable. Once I have all external monitors detached, the computer behaves normally. Has anyone else had experience with this issue? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Should I upgrade the cables (these are the USB-C cables that came with the monitors)? Am I SOL with these particular monitors? They're listed as Mac compatible. Thanks.

Thank you for reaching out to us. It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with your USB-C. We will be happy to help.

If you haven't already, go ahead and restart your MacBook Pro: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac

Once that has happened, test and see if this is working. Some hubs may require that you have power it attached to them as well. Can you double check and see if that helps?
